Ahhh, the Lizard Skins brake Lever Grip… I remember it fondly. Those cool neoprene sleeves that slid over your brake levers, adding grip and comfort. It was a quick and easy way to personalize your bicycle. Good times.
Well, friends, I’m here to report that the Lever Grip is back and looks better than before! Introducing the Lizard Skins DSP Lever Grip!
Lizard Skins thought it was time to hit the ol’ way back button and bring us a new version of an old classic. No longer will the Lever Grip be neoprene, instead Lizard Skins are using the “technology they’ve had now for years, their DSP (Dura Soft Polymer)”.
Lizard Skins states they use the DSP tech for their Handlebar tape, Baseball bat grip, Hockey stick grip, Lacrosse stick grip, and recently their gaming controller grip. When it comes to grip, Lizard Skins say that the DSP “is the benchmark”.
Lizard Skin also reminds us that, if so desired, you can trim these to fit your drop-bar levers to aid with lever grip that would probably really help out during rough gravel descents or muddy ‘cross events.
Lizard Skins says the DSP Lever Grip is compatible with most brake levers and that the grip texture is “optimized for the different touch-points of your fingers”, also stating that the “polymer feel is responsive and durable”.
